A Unique Learning Experience
OKO invites law graduates from BiH, who have excellent academic results and a strong interest in criminal defense as well as gaining experience in the field of international humanitarian law, to apply for our internship program.
Each intern will work in one of four OKO “Defense Support Teams” (DST). Their supervisor will be a lawyer from BiH, and they will work alongside interns. This work environment provides interns with a unique opportunity to develop their legal skills in an international legal office. Interns will also have the opportunity to work with supervising lawyers on the preparation of relevant legal papers, with the possibility of publication.
The selection of candidates will be based on the following criteria:
Ability to engage for a minimum period of 6 months
Law degree
Knowledge of international criminal law or human rights law
Legal research skills
Experience working in a law office
Working knowledge of English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent teamwork skills
Proven ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to work under pressure
The employment relationship is based on six months. This period can be extended up to a maximum of 12 months.
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of 800 KM and health insurance.
